Being Vegan in France vs. America

It’s not exactly a piece of cake to be vegan in America (especially if that piece of cake has eggs and milk in it!). But it’s even harder to be vegan in France, a country that uses so much butter it’s basically swimming in it.

I mean, how could you live there and not eat croissants?

YouTuber Tiffany Ferg invited her French friend Aurelia (who she met while studying abroad) to discuss what it has been like to begin giving up dairy while living in France. Discussing culture differences is honestly all the more reason why studying abroad in France is the best thing ever.

While Aurelia has been a pescatarian (meaning she doesn’t eat meat, but she does eat fish) her whole life, she has begun giving up dairy.

Learn more about the differences in veganism for a French girl from Brittany (land of the salty butter) and an American in the video above.
