Imagine you’re on a holiday in Paris, hiking up the stairs to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, and when you get to the top, a spread of haute cuisine sits before you, ready and waiting to be eaten.
Well for some lucky tourists, this dream was a reality when some aspiring French chefs showed off their cooking ability at the top of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
The French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault and celebrated French Chef Alain Ducasse hosted the Goût de France event to celebrate the importance of French food and culture. At the event, 10 famous chefs and young chefs from six different culinary schools took on some famous French dishes to show their skills, making things such as magret de canard, pastrami, and lemon tarts and macarons for desserts.
The event not only celebrated delicious food, but also how it brings people together.
