Francophiles around the world are rejoicing. For its 30th year, Diner en Blanc Paris is going international, inviting anyone from anywhere in the world to attend the giant party-in-white on June 3, 2018. The waitlist to attend opened today.

At least 20,000 people are expected to participate, with an estimated 5,000-10,000 coming from other countries. It will be the largest Diner en Blanc in the world to date. This is the first time Diner en Blanc Paris has been open to the public; until now, only previous guests, friends of guests, and friends of friends could receive invitations.

As per usual, the location remains a secret until just hours before the event. Dressed head to toe in white, guests arrive in droves, quickly setting up their table and chairs and laying out the feasts they’ve prepared. As the evening wears on, the event shifts from a dinner to a party, complete with live music.

To attend, simply fill out the waiting list form. You’ll receive more information for registration, which begins in March. Airfare, lodging, and equipment (the mandatory table and chairs) are not provided. There is an option to book airfare, lodging, and equipment through Diner en Blanc; you can indicate your interest on the waiting list form.
