Absinthe Cocktails Inspired by the Six Coolest Bars in Paris

Have you seen the Green Fairy? JJ Goodman, creator of the London Cocktail Club, will introduce you in this video.

Last year, The Times Insider City Guide put out a list of the six coolest bars in Paris, among them places like rooftop bar Le Perchoir, and the Louisiana-themed lounge Baton Rouge. But unfortunately, not all of us have the spare time or cash to fly out to the City of Light and go on an absinthe-fueled bender. So JJ Goodman has saved us all a little time and money by releasing six videos on how to make cocktails inspired by these funky and innovative Parisian bars.

In this episode, Goodman mixes a Corpse Reviver #2, one of the signature beverages of La Fée Verte (or “Green Fairy”), the classic Bastille absinthe bar that will leave you dancing down the streets of the city of lights, swinging from the lampposts. Made of gin, Cointreau, Lillet Blanc, lemon juice, and, of course, the good green stuff, this drink tastes like rip-roaring Paris itself. Raise a toast to Degas and Toulouse-Lautrec, santé!
