The time of year that thrift New York foodies have been waiting for has arrived. Summer Restaurant Week returns July 22 to August 16 with exceptional prix-fixe menus at almost 400 establishments across the five boroughs.
There are two formulas: a two-course lunch is $26, and three-course dinner is $42. Some restaurants have opted to create add-ons for their lunch menus, like Bar Boulud, where you can pay an extra $6 at lunch for a third dessert course.
Restaurant week menus are only available Monday through Friday, though a few select restaurants also offer Sunday brunch for those who prefer to do their fine dining in the late morning.
At time of publication, 40 French restaurants are participating this year. You can start browsing their menus and saving your favorites on the restaurant week website. Reservations are currently being accepted on OpenTable.
