French Wink’s Pop-Up Brings the Best of France to New York

Text

Need a break from the online holiday shopping madness? Head down to SoHo where French Wink is hosting a week-long pop-up store. The online retailer of “Made in France” products will offer an in-store experience from December 11 – 17, just in time for the holidays!

The theme of the pop-up is “Rendez-vous,” which aims to remind New Yorkers what a holiday shopping rendez-vous with some French “savoir faire” feels like. The store will be organized like an art exhibition. Carefully curated French brands will be displayed in order to paint a portrait of modern France.

Claire Obry, co-founder of the company with Myline Descamps, explains, “France has more to offer than berets and baguettes. By shopping at the French Wink pop-up store, you get a glimpse of what France does best. You can bring a bit of France under the tree.”

Some of the brands will be instantly recognizable, like the classic Breton stripes of Saint James or the timeless baby clothes at Jacadi. Most of the brands sold at this pop-up, however, will be introduced to the American market for the first time, making for a truly one-of-a-kind shopping experience.

In addition to holiday shopping, guests can enjoy a VR experience where users can travel throughout France without ever setting foot outside of Manhattan. Foodies can stop by the Café Bakery where Maman Bakery will be serving up some gourmet treats. Aspiring makeup artists can find their place, too; there will be a special beauty department showcasing ecofriendly and hypoallergenic cosmetics.

This pop-up store only lasts for a week. You can find it at 25 Greene Street starting on December 11. Hours are 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM on Sunday and Monday and 11:00AM – 8:00PM, Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, you can visit French Wink’s website.
